Becoming a mentor is simple:

  • A one (academic) year commitment from you to foster and maintain a relationship with a student at your worksite.
  • Complete screening process.
  • Attend mentor orientation (2 hours) prior to being assigned a student.
  • Work with a student a minimum of one hour a week to establish a working relationship, reinforce goals and strengthen skills.

Attend two additional follow up meetings (2 hours per session) with program directors to assess progress, address concerns and evaluate needs.
