A native of Omaha, Keith is the youngest member of a well respected and popular musical family filled with professionally talented musicians and vocalists. Needless to say, his musical influences come from years of playing in his fathers church and studying jazz piano technique of his mother. He has also been strongly influenced by his brothers Ron and Don, as well as his soulful singing sister, Carol. Although his versatility on the keyboard and mastery of playing funk paved the wave for him to backup several mainstream vocalists, Keiths real love is in music production. In the early 90s he produced, arranged and performed on the dual CD project entitled DONT DENY IT that received an LA, heavy power station rotation in addition to showcasing of the video on BET. One year later Keith produced a Work Ethic CD for the Department of Public Social Services which was highly supported and endorsed by former president Clintons Welfare Reform campaign. As the sole proprietor of Wayne Sound Productions, Keith has produced various artist to transition their respective careers and get them noticed and signed with record labels affiliated with Norman Whitfield. Keith has also co-produced with his cousin several musical jingles that have received high consideration with the NESTLES Corporation. Most recently, Keith has produced and engineered for such vocal greats as Howard Hewitt and Ollie Woodson. His production skills were also utilized and demonstrated on this web site in Smooth Connections rendition of Sweet Love, Groovin and Summer Madness. Keith makes that Smooth Connection by letting his playing, writing and production skills speak for themselves. |
