Alesia Rae

Originally from Omaha, Nebraska, Alesia has always been destined for the stage. At the age of nine she recorded for the first time with the English pop sensation, ABBA, for a benefit for children. She soon began appearing in commercials and later became a participant in the Act-So program for talented youth across the nation. Her love for performing and dancing began to grow into more opportunities.

While in high school, Alesia loved theatre. She received the lead role as "Lola" in Damn Yankees and went on to do Oklahoma, Pippin at the Center Stage Theater (a.k.a. the John Beasley Theatre.) Hair, A Raisin In the Sun, The Wiz, and West Side Story. She began teaching modern jazz to children and young adults and later became the choreographer: The Omaha Racer's, "The Silks", a semi-professional basketball team at the Aksarben Sports Arena. She dedicated her time with the use of her vocal gift to contribute to benefits such as the AIDS, Sickle Cell Anemia, and became a three year-participant for the organization, Race for Cure held in Columbus, Ohio where she provided the entertainment along with her fellow collegians, "The Conspiracy Band." Her love for acting gave her yet another opportunity, this time she performed and co-wrote the jingle for Warner Brothers' "WB" Network (very exciting!). Also singing national anthems for college sporting events, Mayors and Governors' Balls as well Alesia became a member of an all female band called "Destiny", where her performing experience began. She sang locally, establishing a name for herself as an up-and-coming sensation. She joined yet another band called "Ges Werk" and started touring, providing moral support for the U.S. troops in places such as Cairo, Egypt, Bahrain, Korea, Japan, Guam, germany, Kuwait, Panama, Honduras, Iceland, Hawaii, Somalia and Johnston Atoll, for six years.

She also joined the casino circuit in Mississippi, Michigan, Nebraska and Iowa. Traveling obviously was a hugh part of her career making her stage experience phenomenal! She also performed for the Black Mayor's Convention in Pittsburgh, PA, where Jesse Jackson was a participant, singing for various showcases in Philadelphia, PA as well. She soon took off from touring to write her debut CD entitled "Movin' On" which had great success.

Currently, she is completing her sophomore CD entitled, In My Words. Alesia has also had the opportunity to perform as an opening act at the Josyln Art Museum in Omaha Nebraska for BET's DEF COMEDY JAM, also for Bobby Womack & Jonathan Butler.
