She has been interviewed on the radio airways from Jakarta, Indonesia to Hollywood, CA. Ms. McMorris plays lead guitar, rhythm guitar, upright bass, electric bass, and keyboards and is a drum programmer. She is a musician, arranger, vocalist, composer, chart writer & lyricists. Formerly Los Angeles-based, now residing in one of the music Meccas of America, Kansas City MO, musician/ artist, Lois McMorris aka LadyMac originally hails from another, albeit lesser known, musical birthing ground - Omaha, Nebraska. From such urban locales as Omaha, Minneapolis, Kansas City etc., has come the heart & soul, the cerebellum and the blood, the jazz and the juice of American music. This steadily, streaming geyser of jazzy, funky, bluesy, multi-talented, creative, performing, musically-well- known or lesser-known, genius-artists that flowed from these points, has profoundly impacted American music and the music of the world
to this day. It is on this fertile ground and from this musical genesis & heritage that LadyMac and her music proudly stands
and passionately speaks. An artist from infancy, she is an award-winning painter & sculptor. Her works have been exhibited in several museums including Joslyn Art Museum. She is a gallery exhibiting fine artist, having recently had a successful gallery showing in Los Angeles. Her works are in private collections across the United States. Legendary jazz icon/historian, columnist and national best selling author, the late Preston Love wrote that, "
she is the best all-around guitarist that ever came from here." (Omaha Star Newspaper). Having the same multi-genre, flexible expertise in art as music, she also been a graphic artist/designer i.e. LA Weekly and CEO of her own graphic design company, Studio Eye System. In true renaissance fashion, a poetess and author, her written works include the book, Passages of the Transcendental Ant, an anthology of poetic works, various essays, The Littlest, Biggest Christmas (a childrens book) and art-comic magazine, Zionaya of God. Born clairvoyant, intuitive and a natural healer, she is a Reiki II certified healer, and an ordained minister. Called a prophetess by many and now called to administer healing through her gifts of music and art, to that stead, she is in production of her forthcoming CD project and its accompanying tour, The Awakening Show.
